Welcome to Nursery
Happy, secure children will make the most their early play experiences and our staff feel privileged to be part of their learning. In the Nursery class, keeping children safe is at the heart of everything we do.
My name is Mrs Feltwell I am the class lead who will be teaching your children daily. Mrs S. Smith and Mrs E Smith will be the support assistants within the class. Mrs Austin is the early years lead. The team of staff are looking forward to getting to know your children and supporting their learning.
The Nursery year will be carefully planned to give the children the opportunities to experience a wide variety of stimulating hands on play activities so that learning will be fun. Play is very important to children. It can be very messy as your child will be learning both inside the classroom with sand, water, paint, but also in the outdoors with mud, leaves etc. so you can expect some mucky clothes at the end of the day!
We keep a two way communicate with home via DOJO online and a home school book. Staff are also available at the door the beginning of the day and at end of the school day for queries.
Please ensure all clothing/bags/water bottles are clearly labelled. School water bottles can be purchased at the office for £2.
Please place any money sent into school in an envelope in their bags and make a note in the home school book of the amount and purpose.
Mile a day happens every morning weather permitting, keeping pupils healthy in mind and body.
PE is on a Tuesday morning. Please ensure your child has suitable footwear (trainers), white top and black bottoms, these items can be worn to school for PE. We also have ‘hall time’ on a Monday morning and a Thursday afternoon.
